polarized light microscope

polarized light microscope
(PLM)
A refined biological microscope stands to which several special purpose features have been added. These features should include, at minimum, a polarizer, an analyzer, a rotatable circular stage, a cross-hair ocular, and a compensator slot. Quarter- and full-wave compensators should be part of the standard equipment. The availability of at least one variable compensator is also highly desirable.
